Those that know me (family and close friends) will know why I’m doing the Great south run in October. So for those that don’t here’s a brief scope as to why, over the past 10 or so years I’ve lost a number of family members to Cancer.. But now it is affecting my number No1. My Mum was diagnosed with throat Cancer in 2013, after undergoing chemotherapy and robotic surgery in Newcastle 2016 she is still fighting the fight today, but it returned for the 3rd time. I know she may not win the battle but she’ll give it a bloody good go! 6 years down the line and in her words to me “I’m tired love” so nature will take its course... So very brave! I’m hoping to raise as much money for Macmillan Cancer Support as they have been fantastic to mum over the past 6 years, and I want to give something back.. maybe one day it will be beaten..
