I have been considering taking on a challenge like this for a long time and have finally signed up. I will be walking for about 8 hours covering a full marathon distance (26.2 miles). Macmillan helped my family back in 2018 when my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer . They have always been so lovely and supportive when I have reached out to them.

I feel awful asking for money when everyone is experiencing a really difficult time financially so I am truly grateful for every £1 you can spare. It's so frightening that 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. I'm looking forward to fundraising to help this worthy cause and keep the memory of my mum alive.
