Story
House a hen!
Quest Overseas is bringing in the Easter spirit with Chicken Week. The first highlight of this week will be our head of Africa operations, the infamous Andy Deaville, pronounced (devile) dressing up in a furry 2nd hand chicken outfit from dawn to dusk EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. He will cycle to work as a chicken, sit at his desk as a chicken, visit our gap fairs as a chicken, he will also do any challenge suggested for every donation of 45 pound or more, please feel free to let your mind explore any environment that you wish to see a man sized chicken. Be that in the cinema, on the pier or swimming in the sea!
Furthermore if people raise over a thousand pounds then Simon Tierney will wear a full size egg outfit for the week, as above any donation over 45 pound and suggestion will be completed. If this was not enough, Jon Jon Cassidy will sport a Colonel Sanders out fit for money raised over 2000 pounds.
The reason: In Tanzania primary education is free but yet only half of all children have the opportunity to attend school. Chickens can provide a sustainable income so that schools can maintain buildings, pay teachers salaries and buy books. Just £15 buys a chicken, shelter and food, and it pays for itself in less than a year! The kids will be given responsibility for the chicken, they are not allowed to sell the bird or eat it. It takes a bird 24-26 hours to lay an egg that can be sold it, takes 21 days to hatch a chicken. The food and money raised will enable children to buy much needed school books, stationary as well as providing a constant income for their families.
£3000 buys 200 chickens and will transform the lives of 100's of children. So if you want to see your old friends at quest overseas looking like complete cocks (chicken pun) please give generously.
So please buy a chicken now and support this ridiculous but very worthwhile act. The madness begins on the 23rd March!
You can keep up to date on Andy, Simon and Jon’s progress on the Quest Overseas website www.questoverseas.com
