Story
Needless to say cancer affects all of us.
I visited my mother in hospital when she was going through treatment while at the same time a good friend was down the hallway in the same ward, watching his father die.
I've got many more years to come with my mum, sadly my friend lost his father.
I am a terrible runner, but I am so excited about running this race with my mum and the wonderful people at my work, because at the end of the day, when cancer comes into your life you curse, cry and endlessly question why some don't survive and others do, and then you fight. Even if that means dressing up in pink and shuffling 5K.
