Story
After completing all the national trails in 2012 I was looking for a new challenge.By chance I saw the new signs for the Wales Coastal path when I was walking along Offa’s Dyke and I decided that it would be perfect for my next challenge. I will be walking with my friend Al Monkman. I am leaving Chester on April 24 and plan to arrive in Chepstow, 870 miles away, on May 30.I keep myself very fit and am walking about 90 miles per week at the moment so I’m hoping that by the time I set off I’ll be able to complete 165 miles per week. It’s a long walk but it takes in some great scenery – including the island of Anglesey – and it should raise a good sum for the hospice too.I will also be celebrating my 64th birthday during the challenge.
