We have had a great response and all the stalls available are now taken, so sorry we can't accept any more donations from stallholders to secure a stall. However we would be happy to see you at the event.
A safe place for kids to sleep doesn't seem like much to ask. But in Bangladesh, parents are too scared to sleep since their children are being kidnapped during the night to be sold for prostitution, religious sacrifice or even for their organs. Every night these parents are too frightened to fall asleep in case their children are stolen.
By making a donation, you will be helping the survivors of the Haiti earthquake and you will also be helping to keep these children safe. The Concern Worldwide Bangladesh Street Dwellers Appeal aims to build night time shelters to provide families with a safe place to sleep, wash and keep safe.
* £3 can buy warm clothes to protect one child during the winter season.
* £10 can provide education for a child for one year.
* £50 can provide a safe place to rest for 150 pavement dwellers for one night.
With a Charity Spring Fayre at Bearsden Baptist Church on 17 April 2010 between 10am and 12 noon, we are hoping to raise as much as possible for these worthwhile causes (50% to each). Come along for coffee and cake, great unique shopping and a chance to win some great raffle prizes from a subscription to Homes & Interiors Scotland magazine to a week's accommodation in the South of France.
