The Charity Dudes were originally formed to complete adventurous challenges to raise as much money for charities that meant something to us but little did we think when we set out on these fundraising activities we would be raising money in aid of a charity for someone so close to us.

Mel's Story

Matt’s wife Mel, over the last 8 years has undergone surgery twice, a hydrocephalus brain shunt  and a bone fusion for a Chiari Malformation,  all due to complications with her brittle bones disease but  6 years ago she also underwent treatment for Grade 4 Breast Cancer and now  sadly she has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.

Already the Heart of Kent Hospice have been fantastic offering physical support in the home to help with Mel’s mobility and giving them emotional support for their family to help them come to terms with this devastating news especially offering guidance in  helping their young eight year old  daughter Izabella through this difficult time.

So this year The Charity Dudes Annual 2 hour Endurance Go-Kart race will be in aid of The Heart of Kent Hospice so please come along and support the event and have a great day out you will be helping make a big difference.
