Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

In preparation for the final season of LOST, my friends and I will be carrying out a LOST Marathon on June the 19th(Friday). This means watching all of the first five seasons of the TV show LOST back to back, with as little sleep as possible.

By giving up a few days of each of our lives to watch our favourite TV show, we believe it would be good to try and do the event for a good cause, which is why we would like to raise some money for a charity.

We decided to choose a Spinal research charity because we wanted a charity that was related to the show, (Jack Shephard is spinal surgeon, John Locke broke his spine).

During the event, there will be 5 or more of us who will be watching 104 episodes of the show, and this will take us around 70 - 75 hours. We will attempt to do without any, or as very little sleep as possible.

We will also have a twitter so people can follow our progress, episode by episode and even maybe a webcam stream where people can watch us watching TV live! Our twitter page is http://twitter.com/LOST_Marathon.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Spinal Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you very much and Namaste.
