Story
Charitableness 2009 - the monster runs
By running as Nessie in a series of high profile races between January and October 2009, culminating in the Chicago Marathon, we aim to raise £25,000 for two registered charities – Scottish Love in Action (SLA) and Cancer Research UK.
Please support us by making a donation. You can donate to Scottish Love in Action (SLA) using this page.
You can also donate to Cancer Research UK at www.justgiving.com/charitableness_CancerResearchUK.
Many of our friends are joining us as support runners at each of our races, occasionally taking turns to run with the Nessie costume. At the Loch Ness 10k, more than 20 friends and family will be running as a sea of blue surrounding Nessie in her penultimate race - so please support everyone involved by making a donation to one (or both!) of our nominated charities. Check out www.charitableness.co.uk for more information.
Both pages are quick, easy and totally secure.
If you are a UK tax payer, the charity can reclaim you Gift Aid. For every £1 you donate, the charity will receive £1.28!

Thanks, we really appreciate your supportiveness!

Your donation will help to support the vital work of Cancer Research UK - the UK's leading charity dedicated to cancer research. Your support is contributing to world-class research to improve understanding of cancer and how to prevent, diagnose and treat different kinds of cancer. Cancer Research UK also ensures that findings are used to improve the lives of all cancer patients, helps people to understand cancer, and works in partnership with others to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer. The team is paying for its own flights, travel and accommodation - all the funds raised here go straight to the charity.
