I'm raising money, money, money for Just for Kids Law at a 10 hour long Karaoke Marathon at Lucky Voice in Islington. Wouldn't it be lovely if you could give a little bit towards this great cause!
It's not all about the money, though - it's also about humiliation! If you stump up £20 you get to pick a song for me to perform. I encourage you to take advantage of my painful stage fright. Take a little time to check out the list of available songs here, and everything I do, I'll do it for you.
It would help if I've heard of it, but I'll do my best to learn any song available on youtube so get your thinking caps on. I can't do it without you...
Earn some R.E.S.P.E.C.T. and give as much or as little as you can - it all counts!
Spice up your life and make it a perfect day for this charity, because if you tolerate this your children will be next. Ok, that's quite enough of that...

Here are some
examples of the kinds of things the money you give might go towards -
One of our clients
was defined as a persistent young offender in 2006 and homeless by 2007, he
decided he wanted to turn his life around. We spent 250 pounds paying for him
to take
driving lessons and pass his drving test, as a result of having his licence
he was able to get a job, has been in full time employment for over 18 months
and has not been back before the Courts.
It was discovered
that 2 of our young clients had recently moved from living with their father to
living with their mother - we found that they had no beds to sleep on and were
sleeping on the floor. Social services refused to buy them beds - we spent 200
pounds to buy bunkbeds for them both.
One of the young
girls that we were working with had left home due to an abusive relationship,
she was provided with accomodation by social services but she had no money to
buy food and was too young to claim benefits. We spent 30 pounds on food from
the supermarket to last her a week.
