On 2nd of June we'll be doing a massive 12 mile walk organised by Free Radio called Walk for Kids. Apparently we'll be doing this in fancy dress too, just to make the 12 mile walk even more uncomfortable! Full details of fancy dress will be put here once decided :)

The walk supports local children's charities and organisations such as...

Promise Dreams who aim to fulfill the dreams of seriously and terminally ill children and their families. 

Russells Hall Hospital Children's Unit who want to buy a Giraffe Incubator. These are extremely advanced incubators to help give premature and seriously ill babies the best chance at life that they can.

Acorns Children's Hospice who offer a network of care and support to children with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families. The money will help them keep running a number of hospices where children go for short breaks as well as emergency and end of life care by making them more energy efficient.

Hope House who provide specialist nursing care and support to life-limited children, young people and young adults (and their families) in Shropshire. The walk will help to rebuild and restock their garden area where families go to reflect and think and that is also a place to remember.

 

It will also support other local charities such as Promise Dreams,  Sparks, red boots and Molly Olly's.
