Story
For those of you who don't know me, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2004. My prognosis was good at the start, as it is regarded as a very cureable cancer. Unfortunately I was in the very small minority, and my treatments were non-stop for over 9 years. Many standard chemotherapy regimes, instensive Radiotherapy, intensive chemotherapy, 3 experimental clinical trial drugs, 2 transplants, but finally I have reached remission.
My aim of raising £10,000 might be a bit ambitious, but now I have gained back some energy, I feel it's time to do some daredevil stunts to help raise some much needed funds. I started with the longest zip wire in Europe, and now it's time for something else:
A 5k run may sound pathetic after so many people I know ran marathons recently, but I have to start somewhere. This 5k run I'm doing tomorrow is with huge obstacles! And just a few days later I will be running off the side of a hill and paragliding! ARGH! I'm mad!
