Story

WHAT / WHEN?
This year's Raidathon date and time is still TBC (watch this space)

Myself, my guild members and fellow gamers will battle our way through all raids from Vanilla to current content..... now that's a lot of raiding!

WHY?

I often get asked why we run Raidathon, how did it all began?

Well, back in 2010 my mum was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had to undergo major surgery to remove her kidney. Since then she has had two further operations to treat the recurrence of cancer in her bladder and I am pleased to say she is kicking cancers ass!!  This is the hardest thing I have ever had to experience in my life, my mum is my best friend and the news really shook my world!

I wanted to do something to get my guild involved with fundraising as World of Warcraft has been a huge passion of mine ever since my partner Tapps brought me a battle chest back in 2009. Since then Carnage Inc has grown to be my WoW family and in 2011 we set out on our very first Raidathon which has since become an almost annual event.

HOW WE RAISE MONEY?
The awareness of Raidathon throughout the gaming community and the generosity of fellow gamers has allowed us to raise an amazing amount for Cancer Research UK over the past 9 years, this page is our ongoing fundraising total to date!

Each year all participants donate a fee to take part (recommended £5) this helps to  kick start the fundraising.

To help us reach our fundraising goal please dig deep and make a donation.  All money raised will go directly to Cancer Research UK via JustGiving*.

When making a donation please be sure to mention your in-game name and server, this will really help us to keep track of donations.

You can also help us by spreading the word to friends, family and guild mates by making a post on your guild website, updating your realid and social media. If you would like to take part in Raidathon please contact shell#2116.

THANKYOU'S - PAST & PRESENT
On behalf of Carnage I would like to say a few thankyou's as without all your help and support Raidathon would not be possible;

-To Chris McNamara @Steelseries for sending us loads of amazing goodies for the 2016 raidathin. Your support was amazing!

-To Ashleigh and the teaM @ The World of Warcraft Community Team EU @ Blizzard Entertainment Europe for helping us promote previous years and last years event via the official World of warcraft Facebook page. Also for the amazing inflatable Warglaives and Legion screen cleaners,

-To all members / friends of Carnage Inc past and present who have taken part and contributed to making Raidathon a success

-And last but not least a BIG thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this article. Your support of Raidathon really does mean a great deal.

/Thanks

Shell (Guild Leader of Carnage, Silvermoon EU)
