Story
On 12th June 2010 our team of crazy people will be taking the Sightsavers Mountain Challenge and scaling three peaks within 24 hours (including drive time)
Starting at Ben Nevis (4406 feet) we will set off in the early afternoon on the Saturday. Before midnight we will be back down and heading swiftly for the Lake District. At approximately 3am we will continue our journey and begin climbing Helvelyn (3116 feet) . As morning breaks we will arrive at the bottom of the mountain to continue our journey to the final peak, Snowdon.
A quick breakfast and then the final assent begins giving us time to arrive at the bottom of Snowdon (3560 feet) within the 24 hours.
We are climbing just over 11,000 feet in total so please dig deep and donate now.
Sightsavers works to combat blindness in developing countries, restoring sight through specialist treatment and eye care. We also support people who are irreversibly blind by providing education, counselling and training. We help the people who need it most - those living in poverty in some of the world's poorest countries.
