Story
Did you know that Vidya Peeth (the VP in HVP) means ‘House of Knowledge’ in sanskrit?
HVP Central provides high quality education based on human values philosophy to students of all backgrounds and income brackets, thanks to its means-tested fee model supported by HVP Nepal-UK’s scholarship scheme. Since the 2015 earthquake, HVP Central has been struggling with decreased capacity and facilities.
In 2019 funds and planning permission were finally secured to construct a new wing on the site of the demolished one. The building work is underway but support is needed to complete 12 classrooms.
Your support at this time of urgent need will help HVP regain its capacity to deliver high quality education to all deserving children regardless of gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background. Adopt a brick
- For just £10, you can 'adopt' a brick in the new building. You'll receive a digital photo of your brick, a printable certificate, and letter from 'Bob the Brick'.
- Donate £25+ to receive a hard copy adoption pack. Be sure to leave your postal address for receipt of this package.
Fund the Future
- Donate £100+ to be listed on the HVPN-UK website and receive a signed letter of appreciation from HVPN-UK.
- All donors of £500 or more will have their name inscribed on our wall of patrons in the new wing, and a personal video thank you from HVP Central students and teachers.
- £3,500 will fully cover the cost of a classroom. Immortalise yourself, a loved one or an organisation by naming a classroom, which will bear a plaque with words of your choice. You’ll receive a live virtual tour of HVP and your new classroom by students and staff, and a signed letter of thanks from the Principal of HVP Central - Vishnu Dangi Ji.
