Corona House is one of many supported housing schemes within CHS and to celebrate 90 years of CHS providing housing and support to some of the poorest in society, 6 CHS employees cycled 90 miles around Cambridgeshire visiting many CHS residents celebrating 90th birthdays this year and raising money for Corona House and Jimmy’s Night Shelter. Any money raised will be split equally between these two charities that help combat homelessness.
Our dedicated staff at Corona House provide practical advice, emotional and psychological support to enable women to tackle their issues, form coping strategies, re-establish themselves, to develop positive, fulfilling lives. Corona House also runs weekly drop-in activities for residents and non-residents in the community.
My Story I was referred to Corona House in 1997 & found Corona so welcoming, friendly & supportive. I managed to get back on my feet with Corona’s support .
In 2012 my ex-husband took my children and my world fell apart. I lost my home, lived on the streets and in homeless hostels. Being a homeless female in an all-male environment is hard, horrible and scary. I felt so alone.
Corona was there for me when I felt I wanted to give up and die. They supported me to go to court and I won access. The support I have had has been is amazing. The best decision I ever made was using Corona, I’m so lucky to have this in my life.
