At Beaumond House we believe that the care we provide is second to none and that it should be available to everyone who would like to be supported by us. We can only achieve that dream with the continued support of people like you which is why we are asking if you will donate to support our Be Bright Blue Bed appeal. 

The right bed can make a huge difference to someone who is having to spend a lot of time there and two of our beds here at Beaumond House are in urgent need of replacement. If they break before we can fund replacements we may find ourselves facing the most difficult of decisions and not being able to offer our support to those who need it the most.    

A replacement bed and mattress will cost around £5,000 and we need two of each. This is why this year we are focusing our Be Bright Blue campaign and appeal on raising the funds we urgently need to buy this equipment.   

The beds we would like buy are electronic profiling adjustable hospital beds. We know that the right bed can make a real difference to those we care for and those caring for them. It becomes even more important to have the best bed if the patient is spending long periods of time in bed. For a patient, being able to adjust their position with the touch of a button to that they can eat a meal, can drink, chat to and see family or ease symptoms becomes so very important. In final days and hours where comfort becomes the focus of our care these specialist beds and mattresses ensure we can minimise painful movement and prevent pressure damage to delicate skin.   Our ambition is to ensure that we can help every single person from Newark and the surrounding areas who needs us at their most difficult times of life.
