Story
We are asking people to show their support for our work by wearing blue and white on 27 April in return for a donation.
However, we understand that not everyone will be able to join in with Blue and White Day. If you are unable to wear blue and white on 27 April, or aren’t able to take part, don’t worry – you can make a personal donation here.
The money raised by our Blue and White Day campaign will have real impact on our charity. We currently run 30 sessions throughout the Sussex which are regularly attended by upwards of 300 people. These include a session for young people with autism, Down’s syndrome and one for junior amputees – all of which have been launched since the start of the season.
Your fundraising helps pay for our current sessions, but also enable us to launch new sessions, giving even more people the chance to play football. These sessions are incredibly important to the people who attend them.
But don’t take our word for it.
The mum of one of our junior players recently got in touch to tell us about the difference attending our sessions has had on her daughter’s life. Her daughter had been bullied because of her disability and was becoming withdrawn and depressed. Since attending our sessions, however, she has been a completely different child.
Her mum told us: “AITC has not only given my daughter an amazing opportunity, it has given her so much more. She is more confident, so much happier and is having fun and taking part in a sport she is passionate about. AITC has changed our little girl’s world.”
That impact is only possible with the help of our fundraisers, so please consider supporting this year’s Blue and White Day in whatever way you can.
