In 1994, one thousand people gathered on the sands of South Beach to raise money to combat an antigay ballot initiative through an afternoon of dancing, and Winter Party was born. Winter Party Festival is an annual, week-long celebration of music, dance, and community, produced to raise critical funds for the LGBTQ community.

In 2021 we wont be able to gather in person for a week of fun, friends, and chosen family, but funding the work of the Task Force and local organizations is more important in this moment than it has ever been. Besides, who wants to wait another year to experience that connection, that feeling of reunion that comes from being together at Winter Party? We are excited that Winter Party Festival will take place March 4-6, 2021, in a dynamic virtual format.

More importantly, the money raised through Winter Party Festival this year will bolster the Task Force's efforts to secure non-discrimination protections for all people. In most states it is legal for stores, movie theaters, hotels and other public spaces to turn someone away just because of their sexual orientation or gender expression. Our All of Me, All the Time campaign is shining a light on this critical issue and pushing hard to achieve nationwide protections in housing, public accommodations, employment, healthcare, education and other spaces.
