Story
"I love the Dove set, my boys loved their Christmas gifts too. It was the only present I got,"
That's what a young mum told us last December after our annual Warm Welcome campaign.
Last year's campaign was a great success. It meant that every single parent and child we work with was able to get a small gift. There was also moneyto make sure we cangive families a warm welcomein lots of other different ways, from providing them with homecooked meals to welcome bags packed full of essentialsfor their first few days with us.
"The response has been real gratitude and appreciation as many did not expect anything. One person from the DV group felt that we had given her so much already and that she should have given us gifts. When we gave the gifts to one mum, tears just welled up in her eyes. She was so choked up, she couldn't believe people had been so thoughful."
Please help us make this year's campaign even bigger and better. From November 22nd to 5th December we're asking you to help us raise £10,000 towards giving parents the warmest welcome we can. We want to make sure every child has a present this Christmas, and that every parent receives a beautifully wrapped gift as well.
Donate to our campaign and let your colleagues, friends and family know how they can help our families.
Here's the message one of our young mums sent to us after last year's Warm Welcome campaign:
"I want to thank you for your time, effort and love you have given to me and my children! I am crying my eyes out writing this message. I'm so grateful that you guys came into my life when you did. Thanks again for my Christmas hamper and all the gifts. I don't do Christmas but my kids had the best time! You took a lot of the mum guilt away. xxxxxx
Help us buy Christmas presents for all of our families so they know people care.
