Story
Why Gympanzees?
At Gympanzees, we believe that every child deserves the chance to have fun, be active and feel included. Yet thousands of disabled children and young people face barriers that prevent them from accessing the play, exercise and leisure opportunities that many of us take for granted.
Our mission is to improve the lives of disabled children, young people and their families through inclusive play, exercise, recreation and social opportunities. We create accessible experiences that improve physical health, support mental wellbeing, reduce isolation and build confidence, independence and friendships..
Building Something Extraordinary
We are currently creating the UK's first fully inclusive exercise, play and social centre for disabled children and young people.
Designed with and for disabled children, the centre will provide a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment where children of all abilities can play, explore, exercise and make friends. It will include specialist equipment, sensory spaces, accessible play areas, therapy facilities and social spaces for the whole family.
This pioneering facility will not only transform the lives of thousands of disabled children and young people, but also provide much-needed support, connection and respite for their families.
Every pound raised through this challenge will help us continue our work and bring this life-changing centre closer to reality.
How You Can Help
Whether our supporters are joining for one day, a few days or the entire Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, they are walking to help create a future where no disabled child is excluded from the opportunities they deserve.
Please support our amazing walkers by making a donation today. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us create opportunities, break down barriers and build a future where disabled children and young people can play, exercise and thrive.
Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality.💜
Funds raised through this event will be split equally, with 50% supporting the development of the Gympanzees Centre and 50% helping to provide concessionary spaces for families in Wales, ensuring that more disabled children and young people can access the life-changing play, exercise and social opportunities that Gympanzees will provide.
A huge thank you to Paul Spicer for organising this incredible challenge and raising funds for Gympanzees.
