As part of our Bee Allergy Aware Campaign 2023, Anaphylaxis UK is inviting schools up and down the country to join us for our shiny-new fundraising initiative - The Big Buzz. And we couldn't "bee" more excited!
The Big Buzz is a sponsored fun run where pupils will transform into buzzy little bees. It's a great opportunity to start a conversation with primary schoolchildren about bee and wasp stings, what to do if they or their classmate react to an insect sting, and raise important funds for our charity at the same time.
Please support your school and their wonderful fundraising efforts to help them reach their target for Anaphylaxis UK. Thank you so much for your kindness!
All donations received through this initiative will go towards the charity to support the growing number of people living with serious allergies and anaphylaxis.
----------------------------------------
As we all spend more time outdoors, bee and wasp stings become more prevalent. For most people, they aren't dangerous. But for a small minority, an insect sting can lead to anaphylaxis a life-threatening allergic reaction.
Anaphylaxis UK, the only UK-wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk of serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, is raising awareness and funds during the summer as part of our Bee Allergy Aware campaign. Now in its second year, the campaign is supported by an educational grant from pharmaceutical company ALK and will run from May to September to cover the most active times for bees and wasps.
