Tamworth Samaritans is an an independent charity run entirely by volunteers.

We answer over 10,000 calls each year.

We are affiliated to the national Samaritans charity but are responsible for raising all of the £35,000/year it takes to run our branch.

Broken down:

£5 helps us hep one person in their hour of need

£25 covers the cost of a two-volunteer, three-hour shift

£750 keeps our branch open for one week

Tamworth Samaritans was established in 1976, and we have been helping callers from across the UK and supporting the Tamworth and Lichfield communities every year since. We have ongoing, long-term partnerships with Tamworth Borough Council, Support Staffordshire, HMP/YOI Swinfen Hall, Network Rail and Tamworth Rail Station.
