Story

In a 2020 Ataxia UK survey, 21% of respondents reported that it took over two years to be diagnosed with ataxia, and some still were unknown of the cause

Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Due to its rare nature, many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia. This IAAD we are walking together to our GP surgeries to deliver the Medical Guidelines, created by Ataxia UK and neurologists, which aim to provide recommendations for healthcare professionals on the diagnosis and management of people with progressive ataxia. Campaigning together and fundraising to help improve diagnosis.
