Skipton food Bank has been developing with the help of Trussell the support we offer those accessing our service.
We still work with lots of support agencies in Craven who refer to us people in need of emergency food parcels.
Since May 2023 we have been using the House (next door to the Baptist Church) to invite those using our service in, offer a cuppa, a listening ear and signposting onto other forms of advice.
In Feb 2024 Trussell gave us a 2 year grant to run a Financial Inclusion project. This has meant having a trained adviser from North Yorkshire Citizens Advice and Law Centre in the food bank available to see people when they come in. Our grant funding runs out in Feb 26.
We need your help to continue this comprehensive service which not only gives food to those who are struggling but also offers advice to address the cause of the crisis and a cuppa and a chat along the way.
