Organised by Almond Valley Heritage TrustOur charity preserves the heritage of Scotland's shale oil industry. We hold a museum collection that receives no revenue funding from national or local government, but benefit much from the effort of volunteers who support our professional staff.

Our staff and volunteers have been working for over a decade to make our museum collections and archives accessible to all. Our recording and research works link these unique resources into an encyclopedia of knowledge of value to many, and with special appeal to those with family roots in the industry and the communities that served it .
