Story

Friday 24th April 2026, represents this Year’s fantastic “SLEEP OUT”

After the successful Event held last year raising knowledge of the issues facing the homeless, we are back by popular demand. In 2025, the consensus was that everyone really enjoyed the experience, the planning was impeccable and there was a real spirit of camaraderie and fundraising. Monies were raised for NorthCare Charity, Oldham Food Bank and Egg Charity, along with hosts and organisers, Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT). Any partner charities receive a minimum of 10 percent of net profits from donations received. NorthCare is a nominated charity again this time.

This Year represents an exciting time for Oldham Athletic Community Trust. OACT is committed to positive action that helps to address the inequalities faced in and by communities across the Borough in order to create ‘A Better Oldham’ for everyone. Working collaboratively, we will leave a lasting legacy in our communities; providing high quality, needs led engagement opportunities in sport, education and health & wellbeing that help to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals in Oldham.

All participants are asked to sign up via a link that will be provided. Want to join in the fun email: adrian.stores@oact.org.uk without further delay.

There will be a £15 fee payable on that link and each beneficiary is encouraged to fundraise to a minimum of £50. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers.

To be held within Boundary Park Stadium. Full details to be provided in Handbook before the Day. Speeches, entertainment, cardboard to sleep on and breakfast all included. First aid in attendance. Minimum age 11 years old – but all children to be accompanied by an adult.

Don’t just sleep on it – SLEEP OUT for a great cause. #OACTsleepout.
