After Storm Babet we found that our main pit in the gym had flooded. This is devastating as it is our largest pit and sits under many pieces of apparatus. We are extremely grateful to the staff and parents who volunteered their time on Monday 23rd October, to help us empty the foam pit and assess the damage. As you can imagine, the damage is extensive, we are now on a clear up challenge and working to make sure it doesn't happen again. However, the biggest cost will be in the replacement of the foam.

The foam pits are a vital part of gymnastics training. They are needed to help the gymnasts develop their skills and confidence, especially as the skills get more difficult.

After setting this fundraiser going, we found the flooding had extended into a side pit. Another foam clear out and assessment job is underway.
