Story
Most viable schools in Nepal have now been rebuilt following the disastrous earthquake in 2015 However, capacity does not match demand and there are now insufficient places in the schools to accommodate the number of students wanting to attend.
This project will expand an exceptional school, reducing class sizes and increasing the number of students. There is a huge potential to expand the existing structures and make a real difference to the quality of education available in Pokhara.
There were serious cracks in one of the school buildings with 10 rooms. With some repair works they had continued the classes. However, they deteriorated further, becoming high risk and had to be demolished in 2021. The government supported the school to reconstruct 4 rooms but they need a further 4 rooms to make sufficient classes for the existing students.
