Mossley Hockey 360 Cycle Challenge, 24 Clubs | 360 Miles | 3 Days
19th to 21st August 2022
A team of Mossley Hockey Club members will be taking on a 3-day cycle challenge this Summer to raise funds for our nominated charities Autism NI and Sport Changes Life and to raise funds towards pitch replacement at our grounds at The Glade, with all proceeds split equally between these causes. The 3-day cycle challenge will see the team visit all 24 of the Ulster Hockey Men's Clubs by pedal power alone.
On Friday 19th August the team will depart Mossley HC and call at Parkview HC, Antrim HC and Portrush HC before finishing the day at Raphoe HC, in Co. Donegal.
Saturday 20th August will see the team visit Cookstown HC, Armagh HC, Portadown HC, Banbridge HC, Newry HC and finishing at Kilkeel HC.
Sunday 21st August the team will be Belfast bound calling at Ballynahinch HC, Saintfield HC, Lisnagarvey HC, South Antrim HC, QUB HC, Instonians HC, PSNI HC, Belfast Harlequins HC, CIYMS HC, Annadale HC, NICS HC, North Down HC and Bangor HC before turning for home and back to our clubhouse in Newtownabbey.
This will be a significant challenge for a group of amateur cyclists, covering a distance of 360 miles and an elevation in excess of 13,000 feet in only 3 days.
