Licketyspit is an early years and families theatre and play charity delivering pioneering drama-led early intervention. Our work is built around Storyplay, a children's rights-based approach to shared imaginary play, developed with and for early years children and families in Scotland over the last 20 years.

Storyplay uses a repertoire of games, rhymes, songs and stories to leap into shared intergenerational imaginary play. In Storyplay we can be anyone, do anything and go anywhere! Experiencing this in play makes it feel more possible in life! In Storyplay, all we need to play is each other and everyone always has something equally great to bring to the story.

Storyplay Projects include Porridge & Play; Picnic & Play; Storyplay Schools; Training for children & family professionals and Bookplay where we read and then step into the world of the story for an improvised adventure.

Licketyspit will deliver a series of Just So Storyplay sessions with Licketyspit families, so they can discover the world of Rudyard Kipling, in memory of John.
