18 August 2021 Media Statement - JOHNNOS RUN IS GOING VIRTUAL
Due to the continued restrictions in both New South Wales and Victoria and impacts to our border community, Johnnos Run will now be held as a virtual event. Details on times and locations of suggested route options for both sides of the border to follow.
Registrations are still encouraged as all proceeds go to our Opening Doors Project in Barry Street Echuca.
Johnno's Run is an annual fundraising event organised by Community Living & Respite Services (CLRS). The event supports our community to participate in a coordinated 5km or 10km run, walk or wheel dedicated to raising funds for the Opening Doors Project. Since 2014 this fundraising initiative has supported this team of people to participate in the 'Run Melbourne' event. This year we are bringing Johnno's Run home to our local community Echuca/Moama on Sunday 5th September 2021.
Our aim is simple we want you to have fun, meet new people and help raise funds to support people in our community with disability. Johnno's Run changes lives in many ways, opening the doors to improved fitness for hundreds of people, empowering participants and helping raise money for a fantastic cause.
This event is a major fundraiser for our Opening Doors Project. These projects build homes for people with disability enabling greater independence and inclusion within our community. Our current project will build 4 units at Barry Street in Echuca.
To encourage your fundraising efforts, anyone who raises between $250 - $500, $501 - $1,500 or over $1,500 will be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes.
To register for the event or to find out more about the history of Johnno's Run including what we have achieved since 2014, head to our Johnno's Run page.
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference in the lives of people with disability.
