JDJ GivingTuesday Wheelchair Fundraiser

Since Spring 2019, we have granted 15 wheelchairs, totaling over $88,000 in equipment to kids in need. This #GivingTuesday, we are asking our supporters to contribute towards a push racer or similar style wheelchair for a future pediatric recipient.

Story

Imagine being able to provide a child with physical limitations the ability to compete in a race or score a goal in soccer. Our pediatric wheelchair program is dedicated to doing just that. We help children with physical disabilities participate in adaptive recreational sports that require the use of specifically designed chairs. Our program also helps relieve the financial burden an uninsured family may face in obtaining a standard or specialized wheelchair.

Adaptive wheelchairs for sports (such as tricycles) and some medical upgrades to chairs (such as the ability to stand up or go faster) are generally not covered by insurance. Our program helps families that are in need of these features. We purchase the chairs directly from the manufacturer and help facilitate delivery to the families.

All donations to our program are 100% tax deductible. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
