Merit Health and the Mississippi Food Network invite you to join us in the fight against hunger by participating in our third annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Collection Drive. Peanut butter is a nutritious, high-protein staple that helps families in need, and your donation can make a big impact.

Access to nutritious food can have a significant impact on an individual’s overall health and wellbeing. The Mississippi Food Network estimates that almost 1 in 6 Mississippians — about 480,600 people — don’t have enough to eat. More than 1 in 5 children (18.8%) go to bed hungry most nights, and 1 in 8 of Mississippi’s seniors (12.6%) experience regular shortfalls in food.

Peanut butter donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

● Merit Health Madison in Canton

● Merit Health Rankin in Brandon

● Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood

● Merit Health Woman’s Hospital in Flowood

● Any of our Merit Health Medical Group clinics across the Jackson metro area

● Clinton Chamber of Commerce

● Flowood Chamber of Commerce

● Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership

● Pearl Chamber of Commerce

● Rankin Chamber of Commerce

For every $2 you donate, one jar of peanut butter can be purchased, so a donation of $20 provides 10 jars of peanut butter for families in need!
