Organised by Montgomery County Community College FoundationA team of engineering students are working on project INNOVA – a hydrogen fuel cell-powered urban concept vehicle. The project provides students with a hands-on opportunity to apply what they have learned in their engineering courses.
Montco understands how valuable and rewarding hands-on experience can be while pursuing a career. We also know how challenging and costly it can be to get a project from concept to reality and finally to an optimized finished product. Our INNOVA concept vehicle program is no exception.
The Project INNOVA team placed second in its category at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2024 regional competition in Indianapolis, April 3–7. Montco was the only community college participating in this international event.
This year, we’re heading back to Indianapolis for the Shell Eco-marathon Americas, which takes place April 2–6, 2025. The team is hard at work developing a new drivetrain and redesigning the vehicle body. This hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle is entirely designed, engineered, and fabricated by Montco students on their own time and with immense dedication.
That’s why we are writing to you today to ask for your support as Team Montco works to take Project INNOVA to new heights. To achieve these goals, the team must raise $25,000. Your donation will help bring the vision for INNOVA-4.0 to life and inspire this team of dedicated students to pursue their passion for engineering, innovation, and conservation.
