Our Mental Health Programme, implemented in partnership with Zanzibar’s Ministry of Health, educates, de-stigmatises, and supports those suffering from mental health conditions in Zanzibar.

Thousands are now receiving direct support, which was not previously available, with many more benefiting from our work in the community to raise awareness of mental health issues. But without further funds, unfortunately, this programme will not be able to continue.

£35 could enable a trained Community Health Volunteer (CHV) to deliver a course of Dawati Rafiki sessions

£90 could enable trained CHVs to deliver 'youth friendly' mental health outreach sessions in schools

£300 could enable mental health staff to provide home-visits to treat people who would otherwise not get to facilities

£575 could enable us to hold a community mental health outreach day, reaching hundreds of people
