Story

Just £3 could change a child's life story.

COVID-19 has had a disastrous impact on the literacy and life chances of the UKs most disadvantaged children. We need your help to level the playing field, and help them catch up when they go back to school in September.

How can I help?

Donate £3 and take part in the #FitforLit Challenge on social media.

How can I donate?

Donate here or text FITFORLIT to 70085 (texts cost £3 plus a standard rate message) .

Where does my £3 go?

Just £3 could buy a child a book to help them catch up with their reading after school closures.

What is the #FitforLit Challenge?

Here at the National Literacy Trust, we use the power of sport to get children excited about reading and writing. The #FitforLit Challenge is your opportunity to help level the playing field for disadvantaged children, and have some fun at the same time.

Here's how:

Take on a sporty challenge with a literacy twist. You could: go for a run while telling a story , do sit-ups while reading a book , walk your dog and listening to an audiobook , do a yoga pose while balancing a book. Take a look at our gallery below, the #FitforLit tag on social, or our YouTube channel for inspiration!

Text FITFORLIT to 70085 to donate £3, make a donation online, or set up your own JustGiving page like Milan !

Share photos or videos on social media using #FitForLit and nominate 3 friends to join in too .
