Story
This year has seen everyone face many challenges. Charities up and down the country have in many cases been fighting to remain in operation. Two local charities have been chosen by Cranleigh Rotary Club to benefit from their Christmas & New Year Fundraisng Appeal. This year the club may not be able to do their annual street collection so donating through Just Giving is an option we hope you will use. The charities to benefit from all the donations received are:
ROWLEYS CENTRE FOR THE COMMUNITY - Rowleys provides a friendly atmosphere for all its members and visitors. Its a great place to meet up with friends, enjoy a meal and take part in one of its many social and educational activities. There is no age limit at Rowleys, everyone of all ages are welcome. During the pandemic Rowleys have provided a support and been a life line for some of the eldery residents of Cranleigh.
RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ASSOCIATION CRANLEIGH GROUP - Based at Casi's Farm, Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled offers therapeutic riding to over 200 adults and children with special needs to benefit their health and well being, to achieve their goals and have fun. The experience gained through riding and contact with horses and the volunteers helps them develop self esteem, confidence and independence. The group receives no state or lottery funding and relies entirely on donations and fundraising.
