The Event
The day will comprise of several different events:
Main Cycling Challenge:
A team of 15–25 sighted and visually impaired cyclists will ride 30 miles from Pedal Power (Sophia Gardens, Cardiff) to Gatto Lounge (Pontypridd) and back. Riders will use a mix of solo and tandem bikes, showcasing teamwork and accessibility. All riders will be asked to raise £100 each.

Studio Tarw Challenge – “Go the Extra Mile for Sight Life”:
Cardiff’s Studio Tarw will host a Spin Cycle Class from 6am til 7.30am and a drop in spin cycle challenge, encouraging members to push past their personal bests. Participants will be able to make a donation, take on distance‑based spin‑bike challenges, and quite literally “go the extra mile” for Sight Life.

Community Cycling and Walks in the Park:
Groups of Sight Life members and sighted volunteer guides will cycle side by side tandem bikes around Sophia Gardens as well as walk around parks in both Pontypridd and Swansea to raise awareness and kickstart the day’s activities.

Music & Atmosphere:
Sight Life’s own guitar group will launch the event at Pedal Power, and The Caerphilly Ladies Choir will perform to welcome riders at Gatto Lounge.
Raffle & Donations:
Raffle tables at both Pedal Power and Gatto Lounge will give supporters another way to get involved, alongside on‑the‑day donations.
