Story
Oxenhope C of E Primary School's
Blackwell Woods Project 2024
Oxenhope C of E Primary School have owned the Nature Area for many years.Throughout this time it has been enjoyed by the children for weekly outdoor learning, ‘wild worship’ and Winter Wonderland Christmas events.
The nature area was named 'Blackwell Woods' in honour of our previous Chair of Governors, Anthony Blackwell who sadly passed away in 2021. Anthony had a wish for the birdsong to thrive within the Nature Area, and that wish we would love to fulfil.
The Vision
As a school, we now have an ambitious vision for Blackwell Woods. Our vision includes introducing an outdoor structure to enable teachers to take learning outdoors in all weathers. We would love more trees, hedges, plants and even envisage a little vegetable patch for our children to harvest their own produce.
Friends of Oxenhope (similar to PTA) have launched this campaign to help to fundraise to bring this vision to life.
Thank you!
We would like to thank everyone getting involved in the challenge and everyone donating on this site. We genuinely hope to create an exciting, and usable space for many years to come.
