Rock Prom has become a beloved spring tradition at Bay Area Girls Rock Camp! Each year, we rally our BAGRC community to launch their own fundraisers, working together to raise $25,000 for our Access Fund. With over 50% of our campers receiving financial aid, this fund ensures that all girls and gender-expansive youth can participate in our programs, regardless of financial barriers.
Individuals and groups will compete to see who can raise the most funds, leading up to an exciting celebration at Rock Prom 2025! This year’s theme, Circuit City, will bring our community together for a night of live music, local art, and more—honoring the power of creativity and collective support. See below to findn out how to start fundraising!
STARTING YOUR FUNDRAISER:
Step 1 - Click the "Start Fundraising" button and sign up for a JustGiving account if you haven’t already.
Step 2 - Enter your fundraising goal, then click "Next" to continue.
Step 3 - Customize your page by giving it a title and sharing why you support BAGRC. Let others know why this cause matters and encourage them to donate!
Step 4 - Select a cover photo or video for your campaign, then click "Finalize" to complete the setup
Step 5 - Click "Launch My Page" on the final screen to go live and start fundraising!
FUNDRAISING TIPS:
* Reach out to your loved ones and those you know who are inspired by the idea of girls and gender-expansive youths’ music, and ask them to help you raise money towards your goal. Let them know that their donations make sure that BAGRC programs stay accessible and affordable for all youth, and that their donation makes sure no youth is turned away for lack of fund.
* See if your employer(s) will matching donations! Turn $50 into $100!
* Host a show, dinner, art opening, or some time of event that can help you raise funds towards your goal!
WHATS NEXT?
* Groups or individuals have up until May 15th to raise as many funds they can towards their goal. Throughout the campaign and at the culminating party we will give out prizes for the fundraisers who put in their best effort!
* Groups or individuals must raise at least $500 to reserve a table for themselves at the CIRCUIT CITY event. The top fundraisers will have their tables adorned with goodies in addition to their grand prizes!
* Come to the party! With live performers, artist, food, drinks, DJs, prom photos, and more! Specific date and location announcing soon!
