Story
In March, we had to close our doors to in-person programs due to COVID-19. We had to downsize, adjusted to virtual programming, and scrambled to find ways to support our families as so many were dealing with job loss, food insecurity, children being home rather than at school, and so many other challenges. On top of all of the issues related to COVID-19, our families are also continuing to face the many challenges that come with the racial tensions in our nation. Through many people's generosity, partnerships with other organizations, and the hard work of our staff, we were able to continue to serve in our community. Our families were frequently receiving information about resources they had access to: school computer loans, food pantries, housing support, and more.
Over the summer we were finally able to open back up and have Camp Noah IN-PERSON! It was great to see the kids and families again, even if it was behind masks. We were able to continue to provide connections to resources and even give out produce, milk and cheese, meat, and more to families who were participating in Camp. We're so honored to be able to continue to serve the families of our students and to continue to be a resource during these difficult times.
Our staff often wears many hats: teacher, counselor, case manager, spiritual advisor, etc. We want to be able to serve even more and truly embrace our families in a wholistic way: food support, school connections, connection to resources, character development, and so much more.
Your donation to this campaign will not only support the work we're already doing, but also help us to do even more. Consider partnering with us in our endeavor to embrace the whole family of each of our students!
