Story
Cleary Gottlieb are raising funds to support The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network to provide food to families with no recourse to public funds during the crisis.
The Solidarity Britannia food bank feeds more than 300 households a week out of Toynbee Hall's community centre. The families they feed (most of whom are Syrian) have no right to claim any benefits, and what work they were able to get has disappeared since Covid-19 hit.
Your donations will have two benefits - they will enable refugee entrepreneurs businesses to stay open and will ensure that during Ramadan 50 families a day get access to hot food. As many of these families have no access to cooking facilities this is life changing.
Alongside food the families will also be receiving information about how to get legal advice from Toynbee Hall, in the hope that your donations can both get them through this crisis and help them build the foundations for a fairer happier future.
