BGCT supports Swami Bede Dayananda Trust (SBDT) financially in a kindergarten in Pattavarthi, near the Saccidananda Ashram (Shantivanam). The kindergarten enables mothers to go to work or older daughters to go to school when, otherwise, they would need to look after children.
Swami Bede Dayananda was the name Fr Bede Griffiths was given while he lived at the Ashram. Sr Rose runs SBDT, which also provides training for adults and a day centre for the elderly (qv).
