Story

Our team is made up of Duncan Cowans, Sue Matthews, Jo Challinor, Nigel Matthews, Alexander Cowans, Kevin Upton, Nigel Wood and James Allen and we will walk the 35 miles between the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton to bet365 Stadium on Sunday June 30th which is expected to take 12 hours. The walk has been endorsed by the Stoke City Old Boys Association (SCOBA) and Stoke City Football Club.

During the planning stage of the walk Gordon Banks sadly passed away and we decided, with the agreement of Gordon's family to name our fundraising challenge the Gordon Banks Legends Walk in tribute to the local legend.

Ed Jervis, Gordon's grandson said: Our family is incredibly moved by this endeavour to raise money for such a good cause. Grandad received fantastic care from the wonderful people at Dougie Mac; he would have been humbled to know that this is being done in his name. We wish Duncan and the team the best of luck in the Gordon Banks Legends Walk and we look forward to congratulating them all when they reach the finish line.

Any donations would be hugely appreciated and will help Dougie Mac to continue providing support to over 3,500 patients who are facing life-limiting illnesses across North Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent.
