Enthusiasm is a Derby charity which has helped more than 10,000 disadvantaged children achieve a better life over the last 30 years. Based in Cotton Lane, the organisation reaches out to young people providing clubs, workshops, school holiday activities, homework support and one-to-one mentoring programmes.

To support this work a group of Enthusiasm staff, trustees and sponsors are putting their best feet forward in the Derby 10k. Although none of our willing volunteers would describe themselves as keen runners they are determined to make a difference.

CEO April Allman, Haydn Brady, Rachel Hawkins and Heather Russo from Enthusiasm will be pounding the pavements, along with trustees Claire Twells, Carol Dixon and Ryan Duckett. Sam Malbon (from Blackthorn and Bloom), Jon Malbon (from Amy and Bens), Matt Hill (from Evad) and Chris Ollerenshaw (from West Bank) will also be warming up at the starting line.

In order to continue Enthusiasms amazing work, the charity needs your help. Every penny you pledge will be spent providing activities for young people, showing them that there is a different path and creating opportunities for them to grow and flourish.
