Story
Diana Kahn, our wonderful Chair of Trustees for many years, sadly died on 13th May 2022 with her husband, Terence, and children, Laura and Mark, by her side.
As our Chair from 2011 to 2018, Diana dedicated her time, energy and passion for helping her community to improving and expanding the work of our charity year after year. Without Diana's invaluable contributions, Age UK Lambeth would not be the charity it is today.
Diana's husband, Terence, has asked that any donations in memory of Diana's incredible life be given to Age UK Lambeth, the charity to which she dedicated so much.
All donations made in Diana's memory will help older people in Lambeth live the later years of their lives to the fullest. They will fund MYsocial events to tackle loneliness and social isolation. They will help us pair more people with a befriending volunteer, who will call or visit them every week. They will help us run our advice line, that helps people with issues ranging from housing, to food poverty, providing a friendly face to talk to.
Many of these services were established or developed under Diana's leadership - what a wonderful legacy she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed.
Thank you to those who donated offline:
