Story
Disability Snowsport UK provides an inclusive snowsports community for all skiers and snowboarders, no matter their disability, injury, or experience. We believe that all people have the right to access the unique physical, mental, and social benefits of snowsports whether that is in regular lessons at our year round Snowsport Schools, skiing and snowboarding together socially at our Local Groups or in the mountains on our Adaptive Snowsport Holiday aboard and at our Scottish Outdoor Schools.
After over 2 years of limited fundraising due to Covid from our team and our wonderful members and supporters, DSUK urgently needs more fundraising in 2022. So, we are excited to launch the annual Race the Train event in picturesque Cairngorm National Park in the Scottish Highlands. You will undertake a 7.5km trail race within the Cairngorm National Park, from Boat of Garten along the beautiful Speyside Way to finish in Aviemore. The race follows the tracks of Strathspey Steam Train where you will be able to LITERALLY - RACE THE TRAIN!
Fundraising Target: £100 per person. We have set a small fundraising target for everyone taking part in the 2022 Race The Train, those who reach this will be put in a prize draw to win some great prizes.
This amount helps us subsidise lessons for members, or purchase the necessary equipment to make sure we can support people with various disabilities.
