Story
Christmas is a special time of year, but for many who have lost a loved one, it can be a time with both sad and happy memories. In Lighting up a Life at Christmas, we hope that this time of reflection will bring comfort to you.
This year we have changed the format of our Light Up a Life event in Newark. We invite you to join and gather with us at Beaumond House at 6.00pm on Thursday 19th December. From Beaumond House we propose to walk together to the Parish Church, Newark. We plan to offer you the opportunity to light a lantern for our collective walk to the church, where we will hold our LUAL Service. This element of the evening will start at 7.00pm and so you are welcome to join us for this aspect only if you prefer not to walk.
We are delighted to be able to confirm that we will once again hold a LUAL service at Southwell Minster on Tuesday 10th December starting at 7pm.
We would like to invite everyone who donates to our appeal and attends the event, to write a message on a memory tag which can then be hung on the Light up a Life Christmas tree which will be lit during the evening. This will be sent out to you with your Light up a Life badge.
Dedicate a message to a loved one: You can leave your dedication in the 'Leave a Message' section, when making your donation. Your message will then be entered and displayed in our Book of Remembrance from 1st December up to twelfth night.
You can also complete the form from our website www.beaumondhouse.co.uk/events and return to us.
Please note; This year we will not automatically be sending lanterns out to everyone this year. We do know that for some these are an important element to Light Up a Life so if you would still like one please do ensure
All donations of £5 and over will receive a special Light up a Life pin badge. In order to receive your lantern and pin in advance, and have your dedication included in the Book of Remembrance, we must receive your donation and dedications by 14th December at the latest.
