Story
Adventure4Dementia is back for 2022 with another huge challenge to raise $50,000 for dementia research by the Queensland Brain Institute at the The University of Queensland
This June, members of the Mates4Midget team will be riding a staggering 1,700kms from Brisbane to Cairns, with team leader Mat Collard to then complete the IRONMAN in Cairns (3.8km swim, 180km ride and a 42km) on the very next day.
In July, also under the banner of Adventure4Dementia, 15 members of the Mates4Midget team are undertaking a 6 day trek along the Larapinta Trail in the NT.
Were calling on YOU to support the cause, all in honour of Al Midget Forsyth, an ex-SAS soldier, leader, and friend who was diagnosed with dementia.
Dementia is the second-biggest killer of Australians. Every three seconds, someone is diagnosed with this degenerative disease: their thoughts, memories, and ability to comprehend and engage with the world gradually worn away.
Research into dementia is gathering pace and UQs Queensland Brain Institute is leading the global hunt for a cure.
So get around Adventute4Dementia, dig deep and show your support.
